“BE your authentic self”

What does it mean to “be your authentic self”?

Being your authentic self means to operate at the level of who you truly are.

You operate at level of your truth when you are in alignment with your heart – which is when your mind and your body i.e.. your thoughts and your actions are in alignment with your heart. Alignment with your heart means to be in your heart space. What is the heart space? The heart space is the place of love…. and in the place of love there is no fear.

We are here to express ourselves as our authentic selves; expressing our truth and standing in the power of who we are.

To do that, there is nothing more that is required other than simply being in your joy. When you are in your joy there is peace, there is contentment, there is happiness, there is no conflict, there is balance- and all that is your authentic self, when everything is aligned to your heart.

Take a look at any situation you’ve experienced– if it’s been joyful, free and open- you were operating as your authentic self, at the level of your heart and the truth of that because there was no fear there.  If you look at the times when you felt and acted stressed, nervous or anxious- you were operating from fear. Fear puts you out of alignment of the heart which blocks you from accessing and functioning as your authentic self.

The authentic self is your eternal, infinite soul; you true nature, which is free, where there is only love, pure love, and no fear.

Whether you call it your ‘true nature’, or your ‘authentic self’ or anything else -these are all the same thing, there are many labels. It is all quite simple. Yet, our logical mind likes to dissect, separate and pull everything out and apart -to which there is no end. Our mind will never get it, it will never stop asking questions. Your heart however, gets it, because it feels. It feels energy. Everything in this universe in existence or non existence is energy and energy is something that is felt. When you feel energy you can discern, which means to come to a knowing of what is aligning with you; what feels true to your heart. How does it sit with you? in your heart. When we feel, we are automatically brought into our heart space and the heart space is the place of your truth. When you hear or see something, ask yourself, how does it make you feel-  does it feel like love or fear?

Operating from the place of the heart space, aligns you with your truth and that is when you are being your authentic self.

Is it that simple?

When you are not your authentic self, then of course how can you express yourself with joy and love? You’re unable to express yourself with joy because you’re not in your heart space because your mind is not in alignment with your true-self and therefore you are in a place of fear.

Being your authentic self is expressing yourself in joy and peace, because that is your heart space.

How to check what level you are operating at?

Recognising where you are is all that is needed to bring you back into alignment.

Check how does it look and feel to you? Operating from the heart space, looks joyful, free, balanced, calm, peaceful, happy, ease and flow. When you are not being your authentic self, it looks like all the expressions of fear and resistance including stress, irritation, anger and hurt. When you are in fear, you are in your head space… the ego space; the place of all the self-doubt and worries.

Things like meditation, breathing and being in nature helps you re-align all those parts of you to the level of the heart again, back to your truth, to your true nature, so that you can operate as your authentic self.

Every single moment of every single day you get to choose to operate as your authentic self. i.e. you get to choose love over fear. Be in alignment with your heart – come back into your heart so that you can operate and express yourself from the level of your true-self, your true nature… your authentic self.
